Dustin Allen has been with the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) Since November 2013 as a Community Initiatives Coordinator for the Missouri Balance of State Continuum of Care. Dustin previously held the seat for MHDC for the Missouri Governor’s Committee to End Homelessness. He also provides assistance with coordination of multiple groups including the Balance of State Continuum of Care subcommittee, HEARTH Workgroup, and Regional Housing Team Meetings. Dustin also provides technical assistance for programs who are receiving Continuum of Care funds.

Through MHDC, Dustin also represents the Balance of State Continuum of Care Collaborative Applicant, and is working with the CoC Transition Team to evaluate the CoC governance and to promote greater local and regional representation within the 101 counties of Missouri that make up the Balance of State.

Dustin Allen holds both a BSW and MSW with a concentration in Social Work Administrative and Advocacy Practice from the University of Kansas. He has a combined 15 years of experience in working with homeless populations, four years of experience in working in a mental health setting, and experience in working within a corrections setting. In addition to housing and advocacy work, Dustin also specializes in employment related goals.
